I am an undersea cable being laid out by Google that will connect Lagoa in the island of São Miguel to data centres in the European and American continents. I will join other generations of cables and maritime pieces of infrastructure that express the intentions of empires and corporations until they become obsolete and pieces of detritus.

Hello, I am inside water, the one that is hosted and sheltered by a body, staying for a while, then moving host, moving home, changing form. I am tears and salt. I know grief and I know laughter. I come to visit, but never alone. Sometimes I come as a drop, sometimes I come as a flood. I am afraid of being held inside, of getting stuck, of not being able to move freely.

Helluuuuu, I am an algae, Cladophora glomerata, the beard of the sea-god, you can call me BEARDO. I thrive in nutrient rich water and I am growing fast and strong on top of EVERYTHING. My green is mesmerizing, gorgeous throngs of luscious colour that felt the rocks along the Baltic shore.

I am a young gannet, I fly around the ocean and coastlines of the Atlantic foraging for fish.  In breeding season I nest on rocky islands in large colonies and forage near by. I am an expert diver and I often forage near fishing boats but I fear fishing nets and the noise of large fishing boats. The changing weather and sea conditions has left a mark on my species, intense storms and wind make our lives harder.
